Coordinating and policymaking governmental body which, in cooperation with all governmental services, collects and analyses information on the economy and proposes measures for future action. The PB is also entrusted with the responsibility of policy making in the field of Regional Policy and the management of the Structural and Cohesion Funds of the EU in Cyprus. The P.B. is also involved in the management of the pre-accession aid and transition facility funds from the EU.

responsible for the effective implementation of the Customs and VAT legislation. As a result of the implementation of this legislation, the Department collects customs and excise duties, VAT on imports and on taxable transactions within the Republic.
