Description The rapid increase of air traffic at the two international airports of Larnaca and Paphos during the 1980΄s and 1990΄s (Table I) led to the need for the expansion of the two airports. Consequently it was decided in 1988 to prepare masterplans for the construction of new terminal buildings, extension of runways and taxiways and of the airports facilities.
