Kolossi Half Marathon & 10 km

The event takes place on Sunday 20th November 2005 and with 2 different distances (Half Marathon & 10 km Road Race) it will have something for runners of all standards and ages. Preparations are underway of what promises to be once again one of the greatest road races ever run in Cyprus. Both start and finish areas are located at the historic Kolossi Castle at Limassol city. A fast time is expected as the course is classified as fast and flat. The distance has been measured according to AIMS standards. Everyone who finishes the Kolossi Half Marathon and 10 km Road Race will receive a beautiful, unique medal plus a special commemorative Half Marathon T-shirt as a memento. Trophies will be awarded to the first three runners in each of the 32 categories. Race results are publicised on-line in the Web page http://www.spidernet.net/main/web/kolossimarathon/results.html The race is generously sponsored by Photos Photiades Distributors Ltd which will provide free draft LEON beer (Original Cyprus Brew), ENA pure orange juices and natural mineral water AGROS for the fluid stations. Ultra Sports will provide high perfomance drinks for the fluid stations and at the finish. Also ample quantities of seasonal fruits will be offered free of charge to all finishers. Enjoy traditional Cypriot and Greek dancing after the race and make the effort to join in. The event will also incorporate a number of activities which will make it a fun event for all the family. The organisers (NIKI Sports Management) would encourage all runners to consider participating in one of the two events whatever their standard remembering that competing is as important as winning. Ultra Sports Cyprus Marathon, Half Marathon & 10 km

Ultra Sports Cyprus Marathon is an event that has grown bigger and better over the years (600 participants in the 2003 race) and it is now recognized as the major road race in Cyprus. The Pafos running event is renowned for being as much a social event as a running event. Hoards of runners from all over Europe annually leave the northern winters behind and gather at Pafos to enjoy the company of like-minded people and race against a varied field of competitors. The event which will be held on Sunday 12th March 2006 incorporates three different distances: Marathon, Half Marathon and the 10 km Road Race. All finishers will receive a souvenir T-shirt and a specially commissioned commemorative race medal. Marathon event finishers will also receive an exclusive Race Certificate. Trophies will be awarded in 50 different group categories and for the first three teams over all in the Marathon distance.
